The fractional model fits businesses of roughly 20 to 200 people, typically $5 million or more in turnover, in sectors where data sensitivity bites: professional services like accounting, legal, insurance and financial advice, health-adjacent businesses, and multi-site retail or franchise operations. Big enough that AI risk is real and the board is asking questions. Not big enough to justify a $250,000 full-time Chief AI Officer.
